Monday Jun 27, 2022
Monday Jun 27, 2022
Pastor Larry Stephens brings a message from Deuteronomy on the importance of forgiveness.
(1) The early Church was attractive to outsiders because it demonstrated radical change and gave hope.
(2) That there was a new element at work. The earlier disciples had been all Jews, but here is something that could not be labeled as either Jew or Greek, because it welcomes both. The new name is the first witness to the multicultural, multi ethical power and dynamic of the gospel. I hear people all the time talk about how we need to get back to the way the early church was but forget they were extremely multi-ethical and diverse among all people groups. They did not embrace sin, in they called it out, they didn’t compromise the Word, and welcomed all who would come repent and embrace Jesus as Messiah.
